Understand profile trust labels

Trust labels describe specific checks completed for an account, but they are not guarantees.

What a label means

A trust label confirms only the particular account fact stated by that label, such as a completed identity or business review. It does not guarantee the accuracy, condition, legality or availability of every listing.

Use labels as one signal

  • Read the complete listing.
  • Ask relevant questions.
  • Inspect items and documents where appropriate.
  • Use sensible meeting and payment practices.
  • Report inconsistencies or suspicious requests.

Private information

Verification evidence is kept private and is not displayed in public profiles, listing structured data or search results.

Common questions

Does a verified label guarantee a safe transaction?

No. It confirms a specific completed check. You should still inspect the listing and follow normal safety precautions.

Can users add verification labels themselves?

No. Verification and administrator flags are controlled by Local Ads review processes.
