Give unused home gym equipment another home

Sell Used Gym and Fitness Equipment in Ireland

Weights, benches and exercise machines can take up valuable space. A useful advert makes the equipment, its condition and the practicalities of moving it clear. Post for free and discuss collection directly with interested buyers.

Free standard listing. Optional paid promotion. Buyers contact you directly; you agree payment and handover.

A direct selling plan

Prepare a useful advert in three steps

01

List the complete set

For weights, give individual weights, quantities and fitting sizes. For a machine, include its exact brand and model.

02

Describe use and wear

Photograph upholstery, cables, moving parts and controls. State any missing fittings, faults or functions you have not tested.

03

Make collection realistic

Give assembled dimensions, whether it dismantles and any stairs or access restrictions. Agree who will provide transport and lifting help.

Sell a set without making buyers guess

A photograph of a pile of plates is not a substitute for an inventory. Write out the number and weight of each plate and whether bars, collars and storage stands are included. Give the fitting diameter where known so buyers can check compatibility.

If you will split a set, explain the separate prices. Otherwise state that it is sold as one bundle. Avoid putting an attractively low price on the advert when that price buys only a small accessory shown beside the main equipment.

Explain collection before a buyer hires a van

Large machines may fit a room but not a doorway when assembled. Measure access and describe the floor level. If dismantling is possible, say who is responsible and whether instructions and fittings are available.

For powered equipment, describe the functions tested and any unusual noises or error messages. Do not invite buyers to use equipment with a known safety fault; describe its condition accurately and resolve whether it is appropriate to sell before listing.

Common seller questions

Should I list weights individually or as a bundle?

Use one advert for a clearly priced set that you want to sell together. Separate unrelated items or independently priced machines so buyers understand exactly what each advertised price covers.

Can I advertise collection only?

Yes. Put collection only in the description and include your locality, access limitations and any equipment needed for loading. Keep the exact home address private until appropriate.

Is a standard fitness equipment advert free?

Yes. Standard marketplace adverts are free; optional paid promotion is not required to post.
